Class 37s, Steam Heated in Scotland, Thurso, Oban and Mallaig Railways, and a few 27s in 1984

In the summer 1984 I embarked on a railway odyssey around Scotland. Using a Scottish Rover ticket I travelled around the Highlands, Fort William, Inverness, Glasgow, Thurso, Mallaig, Oban and more. In these days the main motive power was steam heated Class 37s, using their steam to heat the coaching stock. Ah, those were the days, and of course you could actually open the coach windows!
