The timetable forced us to visit here in the heat of the day!! Totally stunning heat! However with a hat, several bottles of water, good shoes, and sun screen - its a doddle!! Apart from drinking the water you pour it over your head and T-shirt. Lots of arid atmosphere here - and goats! Earlier we had been here at night time to see and hear the "Son et Lumiere" show. You could give the show a miss to be honest, seems to be 1970`s vintage and does not do justice to the site. But because the show is presented as you walk around the site, it's a winner for the atmosphere, as you wander around in the pitch black hot night and see a full moon suspended between the pair of Obelisks! Stunning - and silent - a silver scene from an age long gone - it would have been just the same, moon, sky and stars way back then.
There is also lots of rather lovely original colour remaining in the Temple's design features.
